Okay, on 1.8.6 the same problem still exists. I have added my users to Network Configuration Operators, so now they can fix the issue on their own but... I figured I would create a simple script that would reset DNS back to DHCP and unfortunately to do this through CLI it seems you must have adminis...

Okay so I can't explain. I had 2 people with the same issues. 1: Viscosity was upgraded to 1.8.5.1. DNS still had 127.0.0.1 stuck in it. The user changed it but it kept changing back. Which doesn't make much sense but this was the report of 2 users. The first I met the user (physically), I saw that ...

I am having a user with the same problem reporting that it keeps on changing him back to 127.0.0.1. Now I haven't yet been able to get them back online and therefore I can't tell you much about any other software etc. I will update if I know anything more soon. Update: I still can't get into the com...

Okay, so I have selective DNS for only the company domain name to go through the corporate DNS server. Everything else we just use "ISP" DNS (okay on my computer you can bet I'm using 1.1.1.1 but that isn't important). Sometimes not often on almost all of our clients if something happens t...

I updated (for the first time I might add) Viscosity remotely for a bunch of laptops using PDQ Deploy. I used the install for 1.8.4 and set the switches /VERYSILENT /CLOSEAPPLICATIONS. In some cases the update worked without a problem, in other cases the user gets the error Viscosity has detected th...

Sorry yes, I can absolutely ping the servers there is not an IP clash in this case. I can ping based on IP just DNS dies. And it fully dies. I also won't be able to ping www.google.com

Since they both are using split DNS this should not happen.

I have encountered a repeatable problem with Split DNS. I have 2 customers with OpenVPN AS servers. Each connection on its own works perfectly. If I attempt to connect to both VPN servers at the same time then DNS breaks entirely. I can't resolve any names, not on the specific VPNs, and not on the i...
