Hi Kelvinsr,

Thanks for the report. We're aware of this issue and it is fixed in the latest beta. The next release will no longer exhibit this behaviour.

Installing the VC Redist or WebView2 runtime ahead of installing Viscosity will prevent this issue in the mean time.

Regards,
Eric

Hi mcleanit,

The troubleshooters only tend to fix obvious issues in my experience, there's no harm trying them though. "Reset this PC", or a complete reimage is what I'd recommend though for a single machine having a localised issue within a fleet.

Hi mcleanit, A status of -1 means that Viscosity & ViscosityService are being blocked from accessing system resources and information. The most likely culprit is AV or enterprise security software which is blocking either process. Please ensure both processes are whitelisted, you may wish to try...

Hi VIClarke,

You will need to contact your VPN Provider for assistance, they will be able to see on their server why your authentication is being rejected - https://sparklabs.com/support/kb/articl ... ovider-is/

Hi bill74, We'd highly appreciate some more information about your server setup so we can try and see if there is an issue with OpenVPN 2.5 we can solve, or provide future advice to how to fix the issue. Are you able to let us know anything about your server setup? For example, the OpenVPN version, ...

If you go to Preferences -> Advanced, change the OpenVPN Version to 2.4, then try to connect again, are you able to connect?

Topic: Is using Microsoft Edge Webview 2 Runtime safe at all?

Hi Bjarne, The Edge Webview2 Runtime is used by Viscosity where webauth is required for new features in the 1.10 update like SSO/SAML authentication and 2FA onboarding. Other than this, it is not used. In our view, yes it is safe. If you do use these features, a separate web environment (for things ...
