Hey James, Since you're setting up a DD-WRT test box, scroll down in this thread and you'll see everything I did on my v24sp1 VPN build of DD-WRT (both client and server configs, commands, etc) so you can duplicate my setup for testing. Keep in mind I missed a character ("b") in the startu...

Hey James, I'm still messing around with this, and I can't figure out why I can connect to the VPN just fine, but when doing a traceroute to the VPN server (WAN ip) it still goes out my regular non-VPN internet connection, bypassing the VPN all together. Could this be caused by a DNS issue? I checke...

Hey James,
I'm checking out the openvpn mailing list, but in the mean time, do you mind posting a server & client config that you have used to get a working bridged VPN with Viscosity and a OpenVPN server?

Ok, here's what I get. I'm not sure what you need so I commented out what I thought were the important parts (account name, MAC addresses). I forgot to say that I had "Use alternate DNS" as an option in Viscosity. I turned it off and it made no difference. Pro:~ ****** netstat -r Routing t...

Hey James, I'm trying to setup a bridged VPN, as I need to be able to access a few data servers behind a VPN server, and the routed connection is not allowing me do to that. My connection is as follows: 192.168.1.1 is the VPN router (DD-WRT) that is running OpenVPN. It has a DHCP server that hands o...

Ok just to answer my own question: the config file was wrong for some reason. I decided to modify a OpenVPN client sample file and everything works great. However, I found a bug in Viscosity: when you have the details window open with a connection, and then you delete that connection (from the prefs...
