Hi ptak, Last thing I don't understand is why is nessesary to add this option. I think, that "dns support" checkbox should do it for me. I try beta (1.0.7b4) but with no difference. Is there anything that I should check vith VPN server or in logs? Your OpenVPN server needs to "push&qu...

The latest beta is now statically-linked against a custom build of OpenSSL (rather than dynamically linked to Apple's version). Please give it a try and see how it goes. Currently it has only been tested under Mac OS 10.6.1, and still requires testing under Mac OS 10.5 and PowerPC. The beta can be d...

Hi ptak, Try setting the DNS server Viscosity should use manually and see if it makes a difference. To do this, Edit your connection under Viscosity, click on the Advanced tab and add the following line to the advanced commands section. Replace x.x.x.x with the IP address of your DNS server (10.27.0...

Hi Pete, If you have a TAP based connection (i.e. bridging), then in most cases your server would appear in the Shared sidebar. However for TUN based connections this is not the case. However you can still easily connect to your server (and manually drag it to the sidebar if you want to). To do this...

Hi existenz, Viscosity 1.0.6 is built against the version of OpenSSL that ships with Leopard (an older version, and Apple do restrict what algorithms are available). The latest beta (1.0.7b4) is built under Snow Leopard, so you're welcome to give that a try. 1.0.7b4 is the first build under Snow Leo...

Hi AlexK, Do you still have the same problem with the latest beta version of Viscosity? This can be downloaded at: http://www.viscosityvpn.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=34 I still have no idea why all of a sudden those extensions might have been gone. Viscosity now stores the TUN/TAP kernel exte...

Hi centit, It looks like Viscosity's DNS support script was unable to run. Are you using the latest version of Viscosity (1.0.6)? Older versions may have issues when running under Snow Leopard. You can also try turning off DNS support by Editing your connection in Viscosity, and unticking the "...

Hi justbn, Even though Viscosity still thinks it is connecting, can you ping the other computer through the VPN? Static key setups are a little different to the normal VPN model, so its possible OpenVPN is not informing Viscosity that the VPN connection was successful, however it may actually be up ...

Hi centit, As far as I can tell you should be able to get Viscosity to connect to a Watchguard Firebox VPN server. Try editing your connection in Viscosity, clicking on the Certificates tab, and make sure that Viscosity was able to successfully import the CA, Cert, and Key files for your connection....
