Hi there,
is this a problem only with my mac or is the latest beta (1.4.3b4) not working?
ML says that this app is damaged and cannot be opened …
Any ideas?

Hi J.D.,
The beta release only has temporary signing, rather than the full Developer ID signing a release has, which is causing the problem. If you enable apps from “Anywhere” in the Security & Privacy section of System Preferences you’ll be able to run it. However I’ll see about getting the next beta build signed as well to make testing the beta releases a little easier.
Cheers,
James

Hello James,
the latest beta version 1.4.4b4 & b5 resolves the “issue where a DHCP assigned IP may disappear from a TAP interface” for me.
Thanks for fixing this issue!!!

Why not integrate beta updates in the application by adding an option to check that doing it manually ? Thanks.
Hi Jeezy4,
It’s something we’ll probably do with the next major release.

James

Thanks James, works perfectly in 10.10 ![]()
I’m not seeing the menubar icon with the new beta in 10.10 DP2… I have it set to be on the right-hand side of the menu, any ideas?
Did you install the latest beta (on the first page of this post)?
Yes.. never mind me… it was hiding from me on another monitor ![]()
Just updated to 10.10 and still nothing, using the latest beta.
It states it is connected but pings are timed out, when disconnecting my wifi gets reset.
Any ideas?

Can’t help, only advice is to restart comp, restart router, etc.

For your information and I guess it will be soon confirmed, using 1.4.11 (1186) on Yosemite Beta 4 (14A298i):
Cannot allocate TUN/TAP dev dynamically
and the connection gets abandoned.
Same issue with Yosemite DP4, even though the beta was working for me under DP2 & DP3. I think something changed in the latest Yosemite DP release.
same error here too
i tried with http://www.sparklabs.com/downloads/beta/Viscosity%201.4.11b8.dmg and http://www.sparklabs.com/downloads/beta/Viscosity%201.4.11b7.dmg
Hi All,
The issue is caused by the latest Developer Preview not seeing the signing on Viscosity’s virtual network interface drivers (kexts) as valid. It appears Developer Preview 4 enforces special approval by Apple for kext signing. We’re waiting on this approval from Apple: as soon as we have it we’ll push out an updated beta.
Cheers,
James
