Hi there,
A while ago I asked how to selectively disable Viscosity for some websites, but after some time working with it this way, I came to the conclusion that I would rather work the opposite way, and route only selected sites over VPN, leaving most of my browsing go through my normal connection.
Can you help me with this? How would it work?
EDIT: Ok, so I found this post http://www.viscosityvpn.com/forum/viewt ... ctive#p359 and tried it, but it still doesn't work as I wanted. The Network preferences for my connection are as follow:
Routing:
Send all trafic over VPN connection: (not checked)
Default gateway: (empty)
Each routing as follow:
Route: 85.17.xxx.xxx
Mask: 255.255.255.255
Gateway: vpn_gateway
Metric: Default
When I go to an IP whois site, my IP shows up as the one from the VPN provider, and it shouldn't, because that site is not on the Routings list, correct? So what's wrong?
Thanks a lot.

NEW EDIT: Reading through the forums I came across this other post http://www.viscosityvpn.com/forum/viewt ... ?f=3&t=147 and I followed your 1st suggestion, and it seems to be working. Great!
Now, would it be possible to give me a brief explanation about what that extra line of code did?
Thanks a lot.

Hi anamorphis,
Cheers,
James
Now, would it be possible to give me a brief explanation about what that extra line of code did?Your VPN server would have been sending out the "Send all traffic over VPN Connection" command, which would have been overriding what you had set at Viscosity's end. By un-ticking the Pull option, Viscosity will now essentially ignore commands sent out by the server, hence your local settings are no longer being overridden.
Cheers,
James
