DNS settings not cleared when disconnecting from VPN

I'm running the latest version of Viscocity (1.6.7) on macOS Sierra. I'm having an issue where after disconnecting from VPN the DNS lookups are still going to server available only in VPN network. Thus I basically have no connectivity when not on VPN.
Client is configured with Automatic DNS mode. I think this issue started since I upgraded to Sierra. Any thoughts how to troubleshoot this issue?

We haven't had any other reports of anything like this. I recommend checking the computer's DNS settings both before and after connecting a VPN connection to confirm what your DNS settings are. Please see the link below for the correct way to do this:

Please also check the OpenVPN log to see if there are any conflict warnings or error messages:
