Change cipher type?
Got a problem with Viscosity or need help? Ask here!
Viscosity 1.0.9 on Snow Leopard 10.6.3
How to change the cipher type in Viscosity? I am trying to set up a tunnel with a remote OpenVPN box that uses AES-128-CBC as its cipher.
Connection attempts return this error in Viscosity:
Mon Jun 14 08:38:14 2010: WARNING: 'cipher' is used inconsistently, local='cipher BF-CBC', remote='cipher AES-128-CBC'
I don't see a field in the preferences screens to change the cipher from Blowfish to AES-128 but perhaps I missed it. Changing the remote side is not an option.
Thanks in advance for clues on getting this client to use AES.

Hi nycvelo,
You'll need to add the cipher command yourself to the Advanced commands section (the text field under the Advanced tab when editing your connection in Viscosity). Add a command like so on a new line:
cipher AES-128-CBC
Cheers,
James
