I installed Viscosity 1.8 for Mac, and it worked fine. I connected to my OpenVPN server, and all was well. I then quit Viscosity, and now I can't for the life of me get the GUI to open. I've de-installed, rebooted, and installed Viscosity 1.8 and no luck.

Hi Traveler884,

A mistake we sometimes see is users thinking that Viscosity isn't running due to the lack of a dock icon. Viscosity will not display an icon in the dock, however it should display a small icon in your menu bar (top right near the clock). By default this will look like a small circle with a padlock. Clicking on this should bring up the Viscosity menu.

If Viscosity’s icon still isn’t appearing in the menu bar, try starting Viscosity from the Terminal (found at /Applications/Utilities/Terminal) by entering the following command and pressing Return/Enter and see if there are any error messages or warnings:
/Applications/Viscosity.app/Contents/MacOS/Viscosity

If Viscosity still isn’t appearing in the menu bar, try checking the Console log for any error messages or warnings from both Viscosity and the ViscosityHelper processes:

Cheers,
James
