RuntimeError: thread already started
Got a problem with Viscosity or need help? Ask here!
Occasionally I would get "An unexpected error has occured (RuntimeError: thread already started)" when my Mac wakes from sleep. Hitting "Quit" kills all network connectivity. A reboot is required to restore connectivity.
I'm running OS X Lion and Viscosity 1.3.4 (1030)

Hi All,
Thanks for the reports - it sounds suspiciously like Viscosity may be trying to start a connection twice for some reason (Lion may be sending Viscosity multiple wake notifications). I'll look into it and see if we can include a fix in the latest beta.
As peen mentions, you should be able to click Continue in most instances as a workaround.
Cheers,
James

I'm getting this error too in 1.3.4 on Lion
Will this be fixed in a non-beta version?
Clicking continue works sometimes, other times after i hit continue i have no more network access and have to reboot my Mac :\
Happens nearly every time I wake my Mac from sleep, especially if wifi is taking a few extra second to re-connect. Shouldn't Viscosity only attempt to reconnect to the VPN server once it knows you have an actual internet connection? Not as soon as merely waking the Mac?

Hi MBHockey,
You can use the current beta version (which has no known issues) until we release a update:
