Use system proxy

Viscosity is a great tool and i have a suggestion that might make it greater:

(Optionally) Use OS X's proxy as the VPN proxy.
Because the OSX proxy changes (automatically) with location, it would make it easier for me to switch between home and work.

Kind regards, Jaap

Thanks for the feedback Jaap.

You'll be pleased to know we have added such a feature to the latest build of Viscosity. Grab it here.

To use it, Edit your connection, click the Proxy tab, and select either "Systemwide HTTP Proxy" or "Systemwide SOCKS Proxy".

The only potential issue is that switching authentication types is not done automatically (e.g. None, Basic, or NTLM), however in most cases this shouldn't be a problem. This will be made automatic as well with the switch to OpenVPN 2.1 only with version 1.1 of Viscosity.

Cheers,
James
