Hi. I just installed the new version 1.4.4. When i try to connect to my VPN service, the program crashes and stay in my taskbar without being able to click on it. Then when i try to restart it makes a bluescreen.

Anyone had any experience with this?

Hi distun,

If you are experiencing a crash and blue screen, you might have a corrupt driver. First, please uninstall Viscosity completely then download and reinstall Viscosity from here - http://www.sparklabs.com/viscosity/download/.

If you still experience crashes, we will need as much information as you can provide us as to date we haven't seen Viscosity cause a Windows Blue Screen. You can retrieve crash logs from the Event Log. Anything relating to Viscosity crashing or the blue screen would be helpful to try and find the problem. You can get to the Event Log by going to Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Event Log -> Windows Logs -> Application.

Thanks for your reply.

I tried to uninstall it. But i hooked the button so it would save my passwords and username to a vpn service. It did uninstall, i then tried to restart my computer and then install the new one. But it seems that visc is still running. I tried to restart again and it then popped up in my taskbar as it was installed. Even though i didnt install it again. I tried to exit the program but it just wont close. I hit ctrl-alt + del and check my processes and it still active.. i try to shut it down but it didnt work, still remains active. I then try to uninstall it again. But the program isnt listed in uninstall programs in control panel.

It dosnt give me a bluescreen on restart, but i didnt try to connect to a service either.

ok. i managed to solve it.

I used ccleaner to disable visc startup behaviour. I then restarted and installed the new version from the site. And the program runs great now. It connects and startup as regular.

Have a great weekend with alot of sun! :D
