Hello

I have this problem, before I got Warning: route gateway is not reachable on any active network adapters, I readed the forum I It was because there was another adapter from another program, I deleted, and then it seemed to work, but when I log in What I just get is this, the VPN seems to be conected, but the internet doesn't work, So far I've just connected to the site whoer.net, withe the first error about the gateway I changed the configuration and just showed my actual IP.
After I deleted the adapter, then It seems conected, I get into whoer.net and I can see that It shows the IP from the VPN, but in any case the internet doesn´t work.

It seems like theres trafic but all the pages wont open, they will just start and then nothing.
I´ve read also the forum and the recommended to put ip-win32 netsh at the end of the configuration, doesnt work in fact VPN wont even start, added ip-win32 dynamic, it starts as alwyas but also no internet.

Here´s the log of the program, what else can I do? I´m using windows 8, Mcafee Antivirus.

Hi latinrus,

After connecting to your VPN, try closing down all your browser windows then opening them up again, sometimes some browsers can get 'stunned' by the change in connection.

If this doesn't help, we recommend contacting your VPN Provider to make sure something isn't happening server side - http://sparklabs.com/support/kb/article ... ovider-is/

I"ve done that with my browrsers, closed all and then opened again, but no result.

It's not a problem of my VPN service, because there are other 9 computers working with the same VPN server.

What else can I do?

Hi latinrus,

Have you reached the maximum number of simultaneous connections for your account (if they use the same credentials) on the server you are connecting to? Is the server managed by you?

Are you able to resolve DNS via command line with nslookup when connected? Are you able to ping external IP addresses while connected?

You've mentioned that you can get to a website like whoer.net to display your IP address, this would indicate that traffic is passing over the VPN (and thus you have internet when connected) but something server side is blocking other traffic, whether this be a DNS failure or a server load issue.

Hello

Well I´ve been searching all over the internet, I forgot to mention that right now I´m using UDP, before I was using TCP, before I´ve used other program, but had the same problem, TCP worked fine, but UDP will not. Then changed to Viscosity and worked also with TCP at the beginning, but then in the office changed to UDP.

Well after all my search I found an answe.

"This sounds like an MTU problem. Reduce the MTU on your VPN to something "safe" like 1000 and see if that changes anything."

In fact I saw this answer some time ago, but never really pay attention to it, maybe because I was working with TCP all the time, but now I have to use UDP only, so now after cheking everything, changing configurations and everything and finding where that MTU is set to, then I decided to take a change:

And that´s what I did, I get into the adapter settings, lowering the MTU, it was set to 1500, I put it on 1000 and It just started working fine.

In any case thank for your help. I posted this here because may help someone.

We also get this a lot on our two Thinkpads running Win10 Pro x64 with the latest Viscosity beta.

When rebooting, sometimes Viscosity will start fine and turn green (we use the Leopard Colored Menu Icons) -- but really no internet connection. Looking at the adapters we see that our ISP connection is connected to the internet, but Viscosity is not. Our "fix" has been to disconnect the VPN via viscosity, waiting a few secs until the Viscosity adapter gets disabled so that there is no internet activity (do not see unconnected), then to (re)start the VPN. Sometimes, we have to "kick" this twice until we finally see internet connection on both adapters and then our internet (browser, etc.) is just fine.

Hi ingber,

This sounds like a slightly different problem if Viscosity is failing to connect. If Viscosity is connected and you have no traffic, this indicates an issue with the tunnel. If Viscosity is failing to connect at all and you have no traffic, this indicates an issue with the PC itself or the network that PC is connected to. When this happens we recommend taking a look at the log to see where the connection attempt has become stuck or failed, as this can point to an underlying problem - http://sparklabs.com/support/kb/article ... envpn-log/

Eric:

Hi. Every time this happens, in my tray network icon I see "Internet access" OK for my PC adapter (note this is a dongle on Thinkpads) and "no internet access" on the viscosity adapter. Sure enough, as soon as I disconnect Viscosity, the PC gets internet access just fine. I don't have this problem with other clients, e.g., the stock openvpn-gui or the privatetunnel windows app.

After I disconnect -> reconnect Viscosity, and I see "Internet access" OK on both adapters, I get the internet connection just fine.
