Manual setting local network IP

Hello,
I am tightening up my Windows firewall as i use it as a VPN killswitch for a few select programs including my browser. I am however hitting a dead end. As i enter the scope of local IP-adress for the rule to be applied to, i have to enter the whole 10.0.0.0 - 10.255.255.255 as Viscosity creates a random IP-adress in the Class A range when i connect to my VPN service provider.
Is it possible to force a static internal ip adress when connecting to the VPN service, so i can enter a specific IP in the firewalls scope?
I have tried setting details manually for the adapter, but it had no effect once i connect to VPN.

Hi Sparven,
Your VPN Provider assigns you a local IP and Netmask when you connect, not Viscosity. In the same way connecting to a friends WiFi, their router would assign you an IP and Netmask, not your laptop. I guess this is something like a Demarc point; Who is responsible for what. You were quite correct. I contacted the VPN provider and they were more then happy to provide what range they use for their various connections. It's all setup now.
