Hi all,

Viscosity 1.10.2 (licensed)
Montery 12.2.1 - Intel (Macbook Pro 2017 i7)

I've upgraded and am now unable to connect on an established connection that I have used multiple times a day for the last year.

Console log: presents this as the issue
Unix error: exception 17
send failed: Invalid argument

Connecting to a pfSense running OpenVPN 2.38

I've tried looking for the previous version to roll back but have been unsuccessful (and directions would be greatly appreciated)

I've looked through the troubleshooting process and checked for legacy versions etc, but nothing stands out.

Any help or pointers would be appreciated.

Hi GavinTomlins,

More information should be available in the connection log:

I recommend starting here for troubleshooting steps to try:

Thanks for the direction.

The error log pointed to this as the potential error:
Options error: The command "register-dns" or one of its parameters is invalid for this version of OpenVPN (2.4.11). Please edit the connection, make sure the command is valid

I rectified the issue by accessing the Advanced configuration of the connection and adding the following option:

pull-filter ignore "register-dns"

Enjoy
