Hello,

I would need help because viscosity works perfectly on a browser (it allows me to use my company's vpn and therefore to access the intranet and also sites on the internet like Google.com).

However when I need the vpn from the terminal I have access to the data through the vpn but I do not have access to the internet. For example all ‘brew install …’ commands get a connection error.

Do you have any idea how to solve my problem?

Thank's

James

Hi naivalf27,

A VPN connection applies to all processes on the computer, and so there shouldn't be any difference between using the VPN connection from a web browser (unless the web browser has been configured with its own seperate DNS settings) and using processes from the Terminal.

I recommend checking for any potential DNS issues (in case the web browser has been configured differently):

Another possibility is what you're trying to access is being blocked by the VPN server. For example it could be configured to only allow web traffic or something similar. I recommend reaching out to your VPN Provider if you think this could be the case.

Cheers,
