Hi,
We use custom package to install Viscosity on our organization.
We follow this guide https://www.sparklabs.com/support/kb/ar ... ences-mac/ and it worked with every versions until 1.10.5.
The previous version we used was 1.10.3 (do not test 1.10.4) and it works.
With version 1.10.5, we create a package with config connection on Connections-Overwrite folder and license details on file com.viscosityvpn.Viscosity.plist as on the previous versions, but after instalation the connection is not present and the application is unregistered.
Any help?

Hi neives,

Please ensure you're using the latest version of the installer template, as it does get updated from time-to-time. Old versions of the template may not work correctly alongside the latest versions of Viscosity. Please also ensure that you're using the latest version of Packages to build the bundle installer.

I also recommend double-checking the permissions on the plist file and connections to ensure they're not too restrictive (you want the end-user to be able to read them). Also ensure that none of your connections are using the same name, as the latest version is a bit more strict about that.

If you're still stuck, please send us a copy of your bundle (both a built copy and the configured template you're using) via email and we'll take a look for you. Please remove any credentials (such as private keys) from what you send us.

Cheers,
James

Neives, did you get it fixed?

We have the same exact problem with 1.10.5
The last package 1.10.1 that we deployed worked well. But the new one does not.

We are using the latest versions of packager and viscosity installer.

Hi mart.reinla,

We are aware of an issue in version 1.10.5 that could cause a managed installer to fail to deploy correctly (this doesn't apply to the standard bundle installer template). This has been addressed in the latest beta version. If you're using the managed installer template (from the Jamf or Munki guides) I recommend giving it a try and see whether the issue persists:
