No internet upon connecting to vpn on pfsense
Got a problem with Viscosity or need help? Ask here!
Hello everyone,
I am having issues connecting to the Internet once I open viscosity and connect to the VPN. The connection is successful. However, I have no Internet.
I have a cox modem, which connects to a PFsense 2.6.0 server. The PFsense has an onboard nic and I have added a star tech USB to ethernet dongle, which has two ethernet ports on it total. The Cox modem is connected to the PF sense onboard Nic, The apple time capsule connects to one of the USB nics. The apple time capsule acts as the lan. Or PF since that would be the lan interface which the address is a class A. I follow the steps and set up open VPN on PF sense. I got through all of the set up however, once I export the in-line file for the VPN client viscosity. I import the file on my MacBook into viscosity. The connection is successful. However, I just do not have an Internet. I’ve tried many things, but was unable to get the Internet connected. I am using the latest version of viscosity for Mac. I want to be able to connect to my home network while I am out and about. But I’m running into these issues. Can anyone help me? MPF since I see all of the DNS servers From my Internet provider. Everything seems to be connected properly.

Hi mattpdx86,
It sounds likely the firewall or NAT rules on your server are not configured correctly. However if you'd like for us to check your configuration on Viscosity's end please post the items in the following article (you may want to censor any sensitive details first):
