Hi team,
I've recently switched from Tunnelblick to Viscosity. I'm already a fan of the product, but there is just one thing that is really annoying: the Preferences > Edit > Networking > Routing UX. The custom routes feature is great, but the UX, at least in macOS, is terrible if more than just a couple of routes are needed (~ 30 in my particular use case): a tiny non-resizable table, non-editable items, etc. Any plans to improve that? If not, is it possible at least to edit that info using some kind of external text file?
Best,

Hi Carlos,
Thanks for the feedback - much appreciated. We do have some future design ideas in mind for overhauling the route editor for connections, but nothing we can share quite yet.
If you have a huge number of routes you may prefer to editor the configuration file directly: the path to where your connection configurations are stored can be found at:
https://www.sparklabs.com/support/kb/ar ... -settings/
Cheers,
James

It seems this is not possible anymore because 'Library/Preferences/com.viscosityvpn.Viscosity.plist' is a binary file now. Is that correct? Any alternatives?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Hi carlos.abalde,
It's still possible to open the plist in XML format, however that's not actually where the routes are stored. The routes are stored in a .conf file (in OpenVPN configuration format) at "Your Home Folder/Library/Application Support/Viscosity". You can edit this file using a standard text editor.
For more information on how to open the above path please see:
https://www.sparklabs.com/support/kb/ar ... -settings/

Thanks a lot! Weeks ago since the last time I edited it and I got confused. Looking forward for that improved UI
