I have installed Viscosity from current download from site, then I imported my OVPN file - the application stated the files has successfully been imported by it is not showing in my connections list????
I walked through Viscosity's instruction on completely removing the application from the Mac and started over - still no connections will display in the Viscosity application?? The OVPN file is used successfully on other Mac and Windows devices - specifically Macs that had previous versions and other connection files running.

Help? I can duplicate this issue on more than 1 Mac laptop .

Hi Anna,

If you are double-clicking on the .ovpn file and have other VPN clients installed on the same machine, then it's possible another client may be the one importing the file.

Try explicitly importing the connection from inside Viscosity using the instructions at:
https://www.sparklabs.com/support/kb/ar ... connection

Please also ensure you have the latest version of Viscosity installed. Older versions may not function correctly on newer versions of macOS.

Cheers,
James

thank you for the reply..

I did a manual import as well. This is a clean system. New out if box configured Jamf, o365 and Slack. No other VPN is installed.. other thoughts?

Hi ARainbolt,

Please ensure that you're checking Viscosity's preferences window for the connection. You may need to scroll down if you already have multiple connections (please note that macOS will hide the scroll bar when a trackpad is being used).

Otherwise, it may be worth checking the Console for any warnings or errors:
