The situation is this, I connect to my mac remotely and when I connect openvp config through the "OpenVPN Connect" app on my mac, it connects fine and does not disconnect me from my mac.
When I use the viscosity app, the openvp config also connects, but it disconnects me from my mac and I can't connect to it in any way and have to reboot.
Can you please advise me how can i solve this problem?

Hi jt6254,

You can try adding a route allowing network traffic from the computer you are connecting from (it's IP address/range) to travel outside of the VPN connection:
https://www.sparklabs.com/support/kb/ar ... al-network

What is likely happening is that you're connecting using RDP/VNC to your Mac, and OpenVPN Connect isn't resetting the connection when the VPN is established (so the RDP/VNC connection traffic remains outside of the VPN connection, which may be unexpected).

You can also try reconnecting to your Mac using its VPN's IP address, but if the VPN server places connecting clients behind NAT this may not be possible (unless you can set up port forwarding on the VPN server).

Cheers,
James
