Beta versions of Viscosity (if available) can be easily installed like so:
Open Viscosity’s Preferences window and click on the General toolbar icon
Tick the “Include beta versions” checkbox
Click the Check Now button to see if a beta update is available
Please note that beta builds are made available for testing only. They often contain experimental code and should not be used in a production environment. If you run into any bugs, or have any comments regarding the latest build, please feel free to post them here.
openvpn 2.1 is not staying as the default. When I go to the preference screen and select 2.1 then navigate to any other tab and I come back, it is defaulted back to 2.0.9. 2.1 says default beside it but the selected version is always 2.0.9 every time I return to the preferences.
Just installed and tested b6 - looks like I still have a keychain association error when I add my third VPN connection (all 3 have different CA certificates and hostname and use username/pass authentication)
Looks like now, actually, no items are being stored in my keychain. Or at least, I can’t find the ovpn entries by searching the hostname any more. Keychain first aid repair didn’t report anything.
Hello, thank you for Viscosity1.0.6b5 it works for 64bit, but when my computer is connected - icon never changed, it always in “connecting” state. I’m using MBP 5.1
I can see the link to b5 but not the ones to b6 or b7, am I missing something?
1.0.6b5 is currently the latest build. Later builds will be named 1.0.6b6, b7, and so on. Please note that builds listed above (such as 1.0.5b7) are beta builds for previous releases of Viscosity.

Please take a look at your OpenVPN Log (under the Details window->3rd button). Are there any warning or errors as to why it can’t connect?
Build 1.0.6b6 is now available for testing. It contains some additional bug fixes, and OpenVPN had been updated to version 2.1rc19. Please see the first post for the download link.
Make sure you are running Viscosity from your Applications folder. This error will appear if you are running Viscosity from your Downloads folder, or from anywhere in your Home folder if you have FileVault turned on.
Build 1.0.6b7 is now available for testing. Growl messages should now be working under Snow Leopard, and the Time Machine option should correctly disable/enable Time Machine under Snow Leopard again. There are no known issues with this build, so please give it a full workout and see if you run into any problems.
The dialog for updating outdated files has a spelling error:
“An outdated installiation of the TUN/TAP drivers was found on this computer. It is strongly recommended you update these drivers to the latest version. Would you like Viscosity to update these drivers now?”
The word installation is spelled incorrectly. Otherwise, the build works great!
